Installing MindStudio Insight

Prerequisites

You have prepared for installing MindStudio Insight by referring to Preparing the Environment and Software Package.

Procedure

1. Double-click the MindStudio-Insight_{version}_win.exe software package to start installing MindStudio Insight.
2. On the MindStudio Insight Setup page, click Next, as shown in Figure 1.

3. On the License Agreement page, click I Agree, as shown in Figure 2.

4. Select an installation path of MindStudio Insight and click Next, as shown in Figure 3.

   The default installation directory is C:\Program Files (x86)\MindStudio Insight. If you select another directory, right-click the directory and choose Properties > Security from the shortcut menu. On the Security tab page, modify the user permission to prevent other users from modifying the running file.

5. Select the MindStudio Insight component to install and click Install, as shown in Figure 4.

6. After MindStudio Insight is installed, click Finish, as shown in Figure 5.

7. Start MindStudio Insight.
   • If Run MindStudio Insight is selected in 6, MindStudio Insight is automatically started after you click Finish.
   • If Run MindStudio Insight is not selected, you can double-click the MindStudio Insight shortcut icon on the desktop or MindStudio-Insight.exe in the installation directory to start MindStudio Insight after the installation is complete.

   

   After the installation is complete, when MindStudio Insight is running, if the "Missing Dependencies" error message is displayed, follow the instructions in The "Missing Dependencies" Error Message Is Displayed When MindStudio Insight Is Running to rectify the fault.
