Using the HCCN Tool

During distributed training, you need to use the HCCN Tool in the Ascend software to configure the NIC IP address of the device. This IP address is used for communication between devices to synchronize network model parameters. If you need to use other functions of the HCCN tool (for example, checking the link status of a network port), see the Atlas Center Training Server 23.0.0 HCCN Tool Interface Reference or Atlas A2 Center Training Hardware 23.0.0 HCCN Tool Interface Reference.

Atlas 800 Training Server and Atlas 900 AI Cluster

For the Atlas 800 training server (model 9000), Atlas 800 training server (model 9010), and Atlas 900 AI cluster (model 9000), refer to "Training Node Configuration" in "Parameter Plane Network Introduction > Medium- and Large-Scale Cluster Networking > Small-Scale Networking > Parameter Plane Network Configuration Example" in the Ascend Training Solution 23.0.RC1 Networking Guide to configure the device IP address of the NPU network port using HCCN_Tool.

Atlas A2 Training Products and Atlas 300T Training Card

For the Atlas 300T A2 training card, Atlas 800T A2 training server, Atlas 900 A2 PoD cluster basic unit, and Atlas 300T training card (model 9000), and Atlas 300T Pro training card (model 9000), refer to "Training Node Configuration" in "Parameter Plane Network Configuration > Network Configuration Example > Parameter Plane Dynamic Routing Configuration Example" in the Ascend Training Solution 23.0.0 Networking Guide to configure the device IP address of the NPU network port using HCCN_Tool.
