Application Scenario

MindEdge Framework mainly applies to the management of edge nodes and containerized applications. MindEdge Framework manages edge nodes in a cluster in the MindEdge Framework system to implement unified management of edge node information. You can also query, modify, and delete node or node group information. As a basic feature of MindEdge Framework, containerized application management manages the entire lifetime of user applications. User applications are released as container images. MindEdge Framework manages images of user containerized applications and provides functions such as adding, deleting, modifying, and querying containerized applications.

MindEdge Framework uses MEF Edge to connect to MEF Center for cloud-edge collaboration and uses northbound interfaces to connect to ISV service platforms to manage edge nodes and containerized applications.

Process of Connecting MEF Edge to MEF Center

Figure 2 Cloud-edge collaboration process of MEF Edge and MEF Center

The process of interconnecting MEF Edge with MEF Center for cloud-edge collaboration includes three parts: MindEdge Framework installation, secondary development for integrating MindEdge Framework, and management of edge nodes and containerized applications. MindEdge Framework installation includes preparation and installation of MEF Center and MEF Edge. After secondary development such as custom modification, users can integrate MindEdge Framework and a developer platform to connect to an ISV service platform through northbound interfaces externally and implement cloud-edge connection of MEF Center and MEF Edge internally. Finally, users can manage edge nodes and containerized applications through the ISV service platform.
