Overview

This section provides context for configuring the key certificate and the storage paths for the key certificate.

Before tuning, you need to establish communications between the development environment and operating environment. And you also need to set up a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) link to ensure communication security. This requires a certificate and private key for identity authentication and encrypted data transmission. Therefore, you should use the Ascend Key Tool (AKT) to preconfigure the certificate and private key in the development environment and operating environment before NCS Startup.

The AKT is a key certificate management tool. Its main functions include importing a key certificate, uninstalling a key certificate, updating a password, and importing a key certificate configuration file.

The AKT is stored in ${install_path}/latest/tools/ncs/bin. ${install_path} is the installation directory of the CANN software.
