Configuring a System Network Proxy (Windows)

The procedure is as follows:

1. In the Windows 10 OS, choose Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced system settings. See Figure 1.

2. In the System Properties dialog box that is displayed, click Environment Variables. See Figure 2.

3. In the System variables area, click New. In the displayed New System Variable dialog box, set Variable name and Variable value. See Figure 3.
   • Variable name: http_proxy or https_proxy (add it twice)
   • Variable value: http://proxyserverip:port (This is only an example. Set it based on the site requirements.)

     In the preceding commands, proxyserverip indicates the IP address of the proxy server and port indicates the port number.

4. After the network proxy is added, click OK. See Figure 4.
