Function
Description: backward propagation of aclnnSoftplus.
Formula:
Function Prototype
Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. First call the "aclnnSoftplusBackwardGetWorkspaceSize" API to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that includes computation of the operator computation process, and then call the "aclnnSoftplusBackward" API to perform the computation.

Parameters:
Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (Shape) Non-contiguous Tensor gradOutput (aclTensor*) Input Input gradient. gradOutput in the formula. FLOAT, FLOAT16, DOUBLE, BFLOAT16 ND 0-8 √ self (aclTensor*) Input Input data. self in the formula. - Supports null tensor.
- Forward input value of Softplus.
- The shape needs to be consistent with gradOutput and gradInput.
INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, UINT8, BOOL, FLOAT16, FLOAT, DOUBLE, BFLOAT16 ND 0-8 √ beta (aclScalar*) Input beta in the formula, which indicates the degree of approximation to ReLU. - - - - threshold (aclScalar*) Input threshold in the formula represents a threshold value; when exceeded, the function reverts to a linear function. - - - - gradInput (aclTensor*) Output gradInput in the formula. - Supports null tensor.
- The shape needs to be consistent with gradOutput and self.
- The shape and data type of gradInput are the same as those of self.
FLOAT, FLOAT16, DOUBLE, BFLOAT16 ND 0-8 √ workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be applied on the device side. - - - - - executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which includes the computation flow of the operator. - - - - - Atlas training products : The data type supports FLOAT, FLOAT16, and DOUBLE.
Return value:
aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.
The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:
Return Code Error Code Description ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 When the input gradOutput, self, beta, threshold, or gradInput is a null pointer. ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data types of gradOutput, self, and gradInput are not within the supported range. The shapes of gradOutput, self, and gradInput are different.
aclnnSoftplusBackward
Parameters:
Parameter Input/Output Description workspace Input Address of the workspace memory applied on the Device side. workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied on the Device side, obtained through the first-phase API aclnnSoftplusBackwardGetWorkspaceSize. executor Input Operator executor, includes the operator computation process. stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution. Return value
aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.
Constraints
Deterministic computation:
- aclnnSoftplusBackward defaults to a deterministic implementation.
