Function

  • Description: Computes the binary classification logistic loss function for the input self and target. reduction specifies the reduction to apply to the output, supporting 'none', 'mean', and 'sum'. 'none' means no reduction is applied, 'mean' means the sum of the output will be divided by the number of elements in the output, and 'sum' means the output will be summed.

  • Formula:

    When reduction is 'none':

    out(self,target)=L=log(1+exp⁡(−target[i]∗self[i]))\text{out}(self,target)=L=log(1+\exp(-target[i]*self[i]))

    When reduction is 'none':

out(self,target)={mean⁡(L),if reduction=’mean’sum⁡(L),if reduction=’sum’\text{out}(self,target)= \begin{cases} \operatorname{mean}(L),& \text{if reduction}= \text{'mean'}\\ \operatorname{sum}(L), & \text{if reduction} = \text{'sum'} \end{cases}

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnSoftMarginLossGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnSoftMarginLoss" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnStatus aclnnSoftMarginLossGetWorkspaceSize(

aclnnSoftMarginLossGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (shape) Non-Contiguous Tensor
self (aclTensor*) Input Input tensor, which is the input `self` in the formula. Its shape must satisfy the broadcast relationship with target.
The data type must comply with the deduction rule with the target data type.
    FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 1-8 √
target (aclTensor*) Input Represents the ground-truth labels, i.e., the input `target` in the formula. The shape must satisfy the broadcast relationship with self.
The data type must comply with the data type deduction rules with self.
    FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 1-8 √
reduction (int64_t) Input Specifies the reduction to apply to the output, the parameter reduction in the formula. Supports 0 ('none') | 1 ('mean') | 2 ('sum').
    - 'none' means no reduction is applied.
    - 'mean' means the sum of the output will be divided by the number of elements in the output.
    - 'sum' means the output will be summed.
    INT64 - - -
out (aclTensor*) Output The loss function output in the formula, out. If reduction is set to 'none', the shape must be consistent with the shape after broadcast of self and target; otherwise, out is a scalar. FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 1-8 √
workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be allocated on the Device side. - - - - -
executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which includes the operator computation flow. - - - - -
  • Return value:

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Value Return Code Description
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The passed self, target, or out is a null pointer.
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of self, target, or out is not within the supported range.
The shapes of self and target do not satisfy the broadcast rule, or the shape after broadcast is inconsistent with out.

aclnnSoftMarginLoss

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
workspace Input Workspace memory address allocated on the Device side.
workspaceSize Input Workspace size allocated on the Device side, obtained from the first-phase API aclnnSoftMarginLossGetWorkspaceSize.
executor Input Operator executor, which includes the calculation process of the operator.
stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution.
  • Return value:

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnSoftMarginLoss defaults to a deterministic implementation.
