Function
Description: The RmsNorm operator is a normalization operation commonly used in large models. Compared with the LayerNorm operator, it removes the part of subtracting the mean.
Formula:
Function Prototype
Each operator uses a two-phase API. You must first call the aclnnRmsNormGetWorkspaceSize API to obtain the input parameters and calculate the required workspace size based on the computation process, and then call the aclnnRmsNorm API to perform the computation.

Parameters
Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (Shape) Non-Contiguous Tensor x (aclTensor*) Input Indicates the input for normalization computation, corresponding to `x` in the formula. Supports null tensor. FLOAT32, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 1-8 √ gamma (aclTensor*) Input Indicates the scaling factor (weight) for normalization computation, corresponding to `gamma` in the formula. - Supports null Tensor.
- The shape must satisfy gamma_shape = x_shape[n:], n < x_shape.dims().
FLOAT32, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 1-8 √ epsilon (double) Input Indicates the value added to the variance to avoid division by zero. Corresponds to `epsilon` in the formula. The default value is 1e-6. - - - - yOut (aclTensor*) Output Indicates the final output after normalization, corresponding to `RmsNorm(x)` in the formula. - Supports null tensor.
- The shape is consistent with the shape of the input `x`.
FLOAT32, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 1-8 √ rstdOut (aclTensor*) Output Indicates the reciprocal of the standard deviation after normalization, used for the normalization operation, corresponding to the reciprocal of `Rms(x)` in the formula. - Supports null tensor.
- The shape is consistent with the first several dimensions of the input parameter `x`. The first several dimensions refer to the dimensions of `x` minus the dimensions of `gamma`, indicating the dimensions that do not require normalization.
FLOAT32 ND 1-8 √ workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size that the user needs to apply on the Device side. - - - - - executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which contains the operator computation flow. - - - - - Atlas inference products : The data types of parametersx,gamma, andyOutdo not support BFLOAT16.
Return Value
aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.
The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:
Return Code Error Code Description ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 If the passed parameter is a required input, output, or required attribute and is a null pointer, 161001 is returned. ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of the input or output is not within the supported range. ACLNN_ERR_INNER_TILING_ERROR 561002 The parameter does not meet the requirements in Parameters.
