Function

  • Description: Computes the backward propagation process of aclnnMish.

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. You must first call the "aclnnMishBackwardGetWorkspaceSize" API to obtain the input parameters and calculate the required workspace size based on the computation process, and then call the "aclnnMishBackward" API to perform the computation.

aclnnStatus aclnnMishBackwardGetWorkspaceSize(
  const aclTensor*   gradOutput,
  const aclTensor*   self,
  aclTensor* gradInput,
  uint64_t* workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor** executor)
aclnnStatus aclnnMishBackward(
  void* workspace,
  uint64_t workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor* executor,
  aclrtStream stream)

aclnnMishBackwardGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (Shape) Non-contiguous Tensor
gradOutput (aclTensor*) Input The gradient output from the previous step in the backward propagation process, serving as the input to this backward operator. Corresponds to gradOutput in the formula. BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT32 ND 0-8 √
self (aclTensor*) Input. Forward input data. self in the formula.
    • Null tensor is not supported.
    • The data type needs to satisfy the data type derivation rule with the data type of gradOutput (see deduction relationship).
    • The shape needs to satisfy the broadcast relationship with gradOutput
    BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT32 ND 0-8 √
gradInput (aclTensor*) Output Computed gradient, used as the input for the next backward operator in backward propagation. BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT32 ND 0-8 √
workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be applied on the device side. - - - - -
executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which contains the operator computation flow. - - - - -
    • Atlas training products: The supported data types are FLOAT16 and FLOAT32.
  • Return value:

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 When the passed gradOutput, self, or gradInput is a null pointer.
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of gradOutput, self, or gradInput is not within the supported range.
The shape of gradOutput cannot be broadcast to self.
The shape dimension of gradOutput or self is greater than 8.

aclnnMishBackward

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
workspace Input Workspace memory address applied on the Device side.
workspaceSize Input Workspace size applied on the Device side, obtained from the first-phase API aclnnMishBackwardGetWorkspaceSize.
executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation process.
stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnMishBackward defaults to a deterministic implementation.
