Function

Performs backward computation of the aclnnKlDiv API result.

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. First call the "aclnnKlDivBackwardGetWorkspaceSize" API to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that contains the operator computation process, and then call the "aclnnKlDivBackward" API to perform the computation.

aclnnStatus aclnnKlDivBackwardGetWorkspaceSize(
    const aclTensor* gradOutput,
    const aclTensor* self,
    const aclTensor* target,
    int64_t          reduction,
    bool             logTarget,
    aclTensor*       out,
    uint64_t*        workspaceSize,
    aclOpExecutor**  executor)
aclnnStatus aclnnKlDivBackward(
    void*          workspace,
    uint64_t       workspaceSize,
    aclOpExecutor* executor,
    aclrtStream    stream)

aclnnKlDivBackwardGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (Shape) Non-Contiguous Tensor
    gradOutput (aclTensor*) Input Gradient backward input. The shape must satisfy the broadcast relationship with self. FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 1-8 √
    self (aclTensor*) Input Input tensor. - FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 1-8 √
    target (aclTensor*) Input The ground-truth labels. The shape must satisfy the broadcast relationship with self. FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 1-8 √
    reduction (int64_t) Input Specifies the reduction to apply to the output. Supports 0 (none) | 1 (mean) | 2 (sum) | 3 (batchmean).
    'none' indicates no reduction is applied.
    'mean' indicates the sum of the output will be divided by the number of elements in the output.
    'sum' indicates the output will be summed.
    'batchmean' indicates the sum of the output will be divided by the batch size.
    INT64 - - -
    logTarget (bool) Input Specifies whether to perform log-space transformation on the target. - BOOL - - √
    out (aclTensor*) Output Output loss. - Same as self. ND 1-8 √
    workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be requested on the Device side. - - - - -
    executor(aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which contains the operator computation flow. - - - - -
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

    The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Value Return Code Description
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The input gradOutput, self, target, and out are null pointers.
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data types of gradOutput, self, target, and out are not within the supported range.
    The data types of self and out are inconsistent.
    The shape of gradOutput cannot be broadcast to self or target.
    The shape of target and the shape of self do not satisfy the broadcast relationship.
    The shape of self differs from that of out.
    The dimension of gradOutput, self, target, or out is greater than 8.

aclnnKlDivBackward

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
    workspace Input Workspace memory address applied for on the Device side.
    workspaceSize Input Workspace size applied for on the Device side, obtained from the first-phase API aclnnKlDivBackwardGetWorkspaceSize.
    executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation process.
    stream Input Specifies the stream that executes the task.
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnKlDivBackward defaults to a deterministic implementation.
