Function

  • Description: Treats selfRef as a one-dimensional tensor and uses the element values in the index tensor as indices. If accumulate is true, the elements in source are accumulated with the elements at the corresponding positions in selfRef. If accumulate is false, the elements in source replace the elements at the corresponding positions in selfRef.

  • Formula:

    • accumulate = True:

      selfRef[index]=selfRef[index]+sourceselfRef[index] = selfRef[index] + source
    • accumulate = False:

      selfRef[index]=sourceselfRef[index] = source

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnInplacePutGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnInplacePut" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnInplacePutGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters

Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (shape) Non-contiguous Tensor
    selfRef (aclTensor*) Input/Output selfRef in the formula. The data type is consistent with source. BOOL, FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16, DOUBLE, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, UINT8, COMPLEX64, COMPLEX128 ND - √
index (aclTensor*) Input Index in the formula. The number of elements must be consistent with that of source. Out-of-bounds index data is not supported. - INT32, INT64 ND - √
source (aclTensor*) Input source in the formula. The data type is the same as selfRef, and the number of elements is the same as index. - Same as selfRef. ND - √
accumulate (bool) Input Flag indicating the operation type: accumulation or update.
    • Accumulation when accumulate is True.
    • Update when accumulate is False.
    - - - -
workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be requested on the Device side. - - - - -
executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the operator executor, which contains the operator computation flow. - - - - -
    • Atlas training products and Atlas inference products: BFLOAT16, COMPLEX64, and COMPLEX128 are not supported.
  • Return Value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Value Error Code Description
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The passed selfRef, index, or source is a null pointer.
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data types of selfRef and index are not within the supported range.
The data types of selfRef and source are different.
The numbers of elements in source and index are not equal.
selfRef is an empty tensor, but index is not an empty tensor.

aclnnInplacePut

  • Parameters

    Parameter Input/Output Description
workspace Input Address of the workspace memory applied for on the Device side.
workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied for on the Device side, obtained through the first-phase API aclnnInplacePutGetWorkspaceSize.
executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation flow.
stream Input Specifies the stream that executes the task.
  • Return Value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnInplacePut defaults to a deterministic implementation.
