Function

  • Description:

    Computes the Heaviside step function for each element in the input, serving as the activation function of the model.

  • Formula:

    Heaviside(input,values)={0,if input<0values,if input=01,if input>0\text{Heaviside}(\text{input}, \text{values}) = \begin{cases} 0, & \text{if input} < 0 \\ \text{values}, & \text{if input} = 0 \\ 1, & \text{if input} > 0 \end{cases}

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnHeavisideGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnHeaviside" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnStatus aclnnHeavisideGetWorkspaceSize(
  const aclTensor *input,
  const aclTensor *values,
  aclTensor       *out,
  uint64_t        *workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor  **executor)
aclnnStatus aclnnHeaviside(
  void            *workspace,
  uint64_t         workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor   *executor,
  aclrtStream      stream)

aclnnHeavisideGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Shape Non-contiguous Tensor
    input (aclTensor*) Input The input tensor, which is the input in the formula. BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT ND 0-8 √
    values (aclTensor*) Input Tensor of values used when input is zero, i.e., values in the formula. BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT ND 0-8 √
    out (aclTensor*) Output Output tensor.
    • The output data type is the same as the input data type.
    • The output shape is the same as the shape of input and values after broadcasting.
    BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT ND 0-8 √
    workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be allocated on the Device side. - - - - -
    executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which contains the operator computation flow. - - - - -
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

    The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The input parameters (input, values) or the output parameter out is a null pointer.
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of the input/output parameter is not within the supported range.
    The shapes of input parameters input and values cannot be broadcast.
    The shape of output parameter out is inconsistent with the broadcast shape of the input parameters.

aclnnHeaviside

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
    workspace Input Address of the workspace memory applied on the Device side.
    workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied on the Device side, obtained from the first-phase API aclnnHeavisideGetWorkspaceSize.
    executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation flow.
    stream Input Specifies the stream that executes the task.
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnHeaviside defaults to a deterministic implementation.
