Function

  • Description: Performs backward propagation of aclnnHardswish to compute the gradient of the self tensor.

  • API function difference notes: Compared with the aclnnHardswishBackward API, aclnnHardswishBackwardV2 has a slightly adjusted formula. For details, see "Formula".

  • Formula:

    outi=gradOutputi×gradSelfiout_{i} = gradOutput_{i} \times gradSelf_{i}

    where gradSelf is calculated as follows:

    gradSelfi={0,selfi≤−3,selfi/3+0.5,−3<selfi<3,1,selfi≥3gradSelf_{i} = \begin{cases} 0, & self_{i} \le -3, \\ self_{i} / 3 + 0.5, & -3 \lt self_{i} \lt 3, \\ 1, & self_{i} \ge 3 \end{cases}

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. First call the "aclnnHardswishBackwardV2GetWorkspaceSize" API to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that contains the operator computation process, and then call the "aclnnHardswishBackwardV2" API to perform the computation.

aclnnStatus aclnnHardswishBackwardV2GetWorkspaceSize(
  const aclTensor* gradOutput,
  const aclTensor* self,
  aclTensor*       out,
  uint64_t*        workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor**  executor)
aclnnStatus aclnnHardswishBackwardV2(
  void*             workspace,
  uint64_t          workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor*    executor,
  aclrtStream stream)

aclnnHardswishBackwardV2GetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (shape) Non-contiguous Tensor
    gradOutput (aclTensor*) Input Represents the input tensor, which is gradOutput in the formula. - BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT32 ND 1-8 √
    self (aclTensor*) Input Input data. Corresponds to self in the formula.
    • Supports empty tensors.
    • The shape must be the same as that of gradOutput and out.
    BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT32 ND 1-8 √
    out (aclTensor*) Output Represents the output tensor, i.e., out in the formula. - BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT32 ND 1-8 √
    workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Size of the workspace to be requested on the device. - - - - -
    executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which contains the operator computation flow. - - - - -
    • Atlas training products: The supported data types are FLOAT16 and FLOAT32.
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

    The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The passed gradOutput or self is a null pointer.
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data types of gradOutput and self are not within the supported range.
    The data types of gradOutput, self, and out are different.
    The shapes of gradOutput and self are different.
    The shapes of out and self are different.

    executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation flow.
    stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution.
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnHardswishBackwardV2 defaults to a deterministic implementation.
