Function

Extracts a sub-tensor outout from the input tensor selfself along the specified dimension dimdim based on the given range [start,end][start, end] and stride stepstep. startstart and endend can take values outside [0,self.shape[dim]][0, self.shape[dim]]. After being specified, they are converted to valid values using the following formula, assuming self.shape[dim] = N:

start={0,if  start<−NN,if  start>=N(start+N)%N,otherwisestart = \begin{cases} &0, & if\;start < -N \\ &N, & if\;start >= N\\ &(start+N) \% N, & otherwise \end{cases} end={N,if  end>=Nstart,else  if  (end+N)%N<start(end+N)%N,otherwiseend = \begin{cases} &N, & if\; end >= N\\ &start, & else\;if\; (end+N)\%N < start \\ &(end+N)\%N, & otherwise\\ \end{cases}

out.shapeout.shape differs from self.shapeself.shape only along the dim axis, and remains the same along other axes:

out.shape[dim]=⌊end−start+step−1step⌋out.shape[dim] = ⌊\frac{end - start + step - 1}{step}⌋

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnSliceGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnSlice" API is called to perform the computation.

  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

    The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 When the input self or out is a null pointer.
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of self or out is not within the supported range.
    The shape dimension of self is 0 or greater than 8.
    The value of dim is not within [-self.dim(), self.dim() - 1].
    step is less than or equal to 0.
    The data types of self and out are inconsistent.
    The shape of out does not satisfy the deduction rules in the formula.
