Function Description

  • Description: Computes the bitwise XOR between elements in the input tensor self and the input scalar other. The input self and other must be of the INT or BOOL type. For the BOOL type, the operator computes the logical XOR.
  • Formula:outi=selfi ⨁ other\text{out}_i = \text{self}_i \, \bigoplus\, \text{other}

Prototype

  • aclnnBitwiseXorScalar and aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalar implement the same function in different ways. Select a proper operator based on your requirements.

    • aclnnBitwiseXorScalar: An output tensor object needs to be created to store the computation result.
    • aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalar: No output tensor object needs to be created, and the computation result is written in place to the input tensor's memory.
  • Each operator has two-phase API calls. First, aclnnBitwiseXorScalarGetWorkspaceSize or aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalarGetWorkspaceSize is called to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor covering the operator computation process. Then, aclnnBitwiseXorScalar or aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalar is called to perform computation.

    • aclnnStatus aclnnBitwiseXorScalarGetWorkspaceSize(const aclTensor *self, const aclScalar *other, aclTensor *out, uint64_t *workspaceSize, aclOpExecutor **executor)
    • aclnnStatus aclnnBitwiseXorScalar(void *workspace, uint64_t workspaceSize, aclOpExecutor *executor, aclrtStream stream)
    • aclnnStatus aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalarGetWorkspaceSize(aclTensor *selfRef, const aclScalar *other, uint64_t *workspaceSize, aclOpExecutor **executor)
    • aclnnStatus aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalar(void *workspace, uint64_t workspaceSize, aclOpExecutor *executor, aclrtStream stream)

aclnnBitwiseXorScalarGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

    • self (aclTensor*, computation input): aclTensor on the device. Its data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, or UINT8. The data type must follow the type promotion rules with other (see Type Promotion Rules). It supports non-contiguous tensors. Its data format can be ND, and the data dimensions cannot exceed 8.
    • other (aclScalar*, computation input): aclScalar on the host. Its data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, or UINT8. The data type must follow the type promotion rules with self (see Type Promotion Rules).
    • out (aclTensor *, computation output): aclTensor on the device. Its data type must be one convertible from the type deduced from self and other. Its shape is the same as that of self. It supports non-contiguous tensors. Its data format can be ND, and the data dimensions cannot exceed 8.
      • Atlas training products and Atlas inference products: The data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, UINT8, FLOAT, FLOAT16, or DOUBLE.
      • Atlas A2 training products/Atlas A2 inference products and Atlas A3 training products/Atlas A3 inference products: The data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, UINT8, FLOAT, FLOAT16, DOUBLE, or BFLOAT16.
    • workspaceSize (uint64_t *, output): size of the workspace to be allocated on the device.
    • executor (aclOpExecutor **, output): operator executor, covering the operator computation process.
  • Returns: aclnnStatus: status code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

The first-phase API implements input parameter verification. The following errors may be thrown:
161001 (ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR): 1. self, other, or out is a null pointer.
161002 (ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID): 1. The data type of self or other is not supported.
                                  2. self and other do not meet the type promotion rules.
                                  3. The data type deduced from self and other cannot be cast to the data type of out.
                                  4. The shape of self is different from that of out.
                                  5. self and out each have more than 8 dimensions.

aclnnBitwiseXorScalar

  • Parameters:

    • workspace (void *, input): address of the workspace to be allocated on the device.
    • workspaceSize (uint64_t, input): size of the workspace to be allocated on the device, which is obtained by calling aclnnBitwiseXorScalarGetWorkspaceSize.
    • executor (aclOpExecutor *, input): operator executor, covering the operator computation process.
    • stream (aclrtStream, input): stream for executing the task.
  • Returns:

aclnnStatus: status code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalarGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

    • selfRef (aclTensor *, computation input/output): input/output tensor, that is, self and out in the formula. It is an aclTensor on the device. Its data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, or UINT8. The data type must follow the type promotion rules with other (see Type Promotion Rules). A data type inferred from selfRef and other must be convertible to the data type of selfRef itself. It supports non-contiguous tensors. Its data format can be ND, and the data dimensions cannot exceed 8.
    • other (aclScalar*, computation input): input scalar, aclScalar on the host. Its data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, or UINT8. The data type must follow the type promotion rules with selfRef (see Type Promotion Rules).
    • workspaceSize (uint64_t *, output): size of the workspace to be allocated on the device.
    • executor (aclOpExecutor **, output): operator executor, covering the operator computation process.
  • Returns:

aclnnStatus: status code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

The first-phase API implements input parameter verification. The following errors may be thrown:
161001 (ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR): 1. selfRef or other is a null pointer.
161002 (ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID): 1. The data type of selfRef or other is not supported.
                                  2. selfRef and other do not meet the type promotion rules.
                                  3. The data type deduced from selfRef and other cannot be cast to the data type of selfRef.
                                  4. selfRef has more than 8 dimensions.

aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalar

  • Parameters:

    • workspace (void *, input): address of the workspace to be allocated on the device.
    • workspaceSize (uint64_t, input): size of the workspace to be allocated on the device, which is obtained by calling aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalarGetWorkspaceSize.
    • executor (aclOpExecutor *, input): operator executor, covering the operator computation process.
    • stream (aclrtStream, input): stream for executing the task.
  • Returns:

aclnnStatus: status code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:
    • aclnnBitwiseXorScalar and aclnnInplaceBitwiseXorScalar each default to a deterministic implementation.
