Function Description

  • Description: Computes the bitwise OR between elements in the tensor self and corresponding elements in the tensor other. The tensors must be of the INT or BOOL type. For the BOOL type, the operator computes the logical OR.
  • Formula:outi=selfi ∣ otheri\text{out}_i = \text{self}_i \, | \, \text{other}_i

Prototype

  • aclnnBitwiseOrTensor and aclnnInplaceBitwiseOrTensor implement the same function in different ways. Select a proper operator based on your requirements.

    • aclnnBitwiseOrTensor: An output tensor object needs to be created to store the computation result.
    • aclnnInplaceBitwiseOrTensor: No output tensor object needs to be created, and the computation result is written in place to the input tensor's memory.
  • Each operator has two-phase API calls. First, aclnnBitwiseOrTensorGetWorkspaceSize or aclnnInplaceBitwiseOrTensorGetWorkspaceSize is called to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor covering the operator computation process. Then, aclnnBitwiseOrTensor or aclnnInplaceBitwiseOrTensor is called to perform computation.

    • aclnnStatus aclnnBitwiseOrTensorGetWorkspaceSize(const aclTensor *self, const aclTensor *other, aclTensor *out, uint64_t *workspaceSize, aclOpExecutor **executor)
    • aclnnStatus aclnnBitwiseOrTensor(void *workspace, uint64_t workspaceSize, aclOpExecutor *executor, aclrtStream stream)
    • aclnnStatus aclnnInplaceBitwiseOrTensorGetWorkspaceSize(aclTensor *selfRef, const aclTensor *other, uint64_t *workspaceSize, aclOpExecutor **executor)
    • aclnnStatus aclnnInplaceBitwiseOrTensor(void *workspace, uint64_t workspaceSize, aclOpExecutor *executor, aclrtStream stream)

aclnnBitwiseOrTensorGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

    • self (aclTensor*, computation input): input self in the formula, which is an aclTensor on the device. Its data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, UINT8, UINT16, UINT32, or UINT64. The data type must follow the type promotion rules with other. It supports non-contiguous tensors. The shapes of self and other must meet the broadcast relationship. Its data format can be ND, and the data dimensions cannot exceed 8.
    • other (aclTensor*, computation input): other in the formula, which is an aclTensor on the device. Its data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, UINT8, UINT16, UINT32, or UINT64. The data type must follow the type promotion rules with self. Its data format can be ND.
    • out (aclTensor *, computation output): out in the formula, which is an aclTensor on the device. Its data type must be one convertible from the type deduced from self and other. The shape of out must be the shape obtained by broadcasting self and other. It supports non-contiguous tensors. Its data format can be ND, and the data dimensions cannot exceed 8.
      • Atlas training products, Atlas A2 training products/Atlas A2 inference products, Atlas A3 training products/Atlas A3 inference products, and Atlas inference products: The data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, UINT8, UINT16, UINT32, or UINT64.
    • workspaceSize (uint64_t *, output): size of the workspace to be allocated on the device.
    • executor (aclOpExecutor **, output): operator executor, covering the operator computation process.
  • Returns:

aclnnStatus: status code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

The first-phase API implements input parameter verification. The following errors may be thrown:
161001 (ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR): 1. self, other, or out is a null pointer.
161002 (ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID): 1. The data type of self or other is not supported.
                                       2. Type promotion between self and other cannot be performed.
                                       3. The data type deduced from self and other cannot be cast to the data type of out.
                                       4. The shapes of self and other are not broadcastable.
                                       5. self, other, and out each have more than 8 dimensions.

aclnnInplaceBitwiseOrTensorGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

    • selfRef (aclTensor *, computation input/output): input/output tensor, that is, self and out in the formula. It is an aclTensor on the device. Its data type can be BOOL, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64, UINT8, UINT16, UINT32, or UINT64. The data type must follow the type promotion rules with other (see Type Promotion Rules).
The data type must follow the type promotion rules with selfRef (see Type Promotion Rules). Its data format can be ND.

161001 (ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR): 1. selfRef or other is a null pointer.
161002 (ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID): 1. The data type of selfRef or other is not supported.
                                       2. selfRef and other do not meet the type promotion rules.
                                       3. The data type deduced from selfRef and other cannot be cast to the data type of selfRef.
                                       4. The shapes of selfRef and other are not broadcastable, or the shape after broadcasting does not match the shape of self.

                                       5. selfRef and other each have more than 8 dimensions.

    • executor (aclOpExecutor *, input): operator executor, covering the operator computation process.
    • stream (aclrtStream, input): stream for executing the task.
  • Returns:

aclnnStatus: status code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:
    • aclnnBitwiseOrTensor and aclnnInplaceBitwiseOrTensor each default to a deterministic implementation.
