Upgrade Impacts

Do not perform other maintenance operations during the upgrade.
Services are interrupted during the software upgrade.

Precautions

Table 1 describes the precautions for the upgrade.

1	Before the upgrade, read this document carefully to ensure that you have learned all the content.
2	To minimize the impact on your services, switch over or stop services before performing the upgrade.
3	After the upgrade, ensure that all software versions meet the version mapping requirements.
4	If you need to roll back from a later version to an earlier version, uninstall the later version and then install the required version.
5	During the CANN upgrade, the version to which the cann soft link points in the installation directory is upgraded by default.

Upgrade Process

If the driver, firmware, and CANN software are compatible, you can upgrade the CANN software separately. For details about the version mapping, see Release Notes.

If the firmware and driver need to be upgraded at the same time, follow the firmware > driver > CANN upgrade sequence.
