Function Usage

Creates an epoll instance for media data processing to allow you to use the epoll programming model to operate the input and output data of the media data processing channel.

Parameter Description

None.

Return Value Description

Return Value	Description
epoll_fd	Int, pointer address of the file descriptor of an epoll instance. The number of file descriptors is restricted by the maximum number of files that can be opened at the same time in a task in the Linux OS, which can be viewed by using the ulimit -al command.
ret	Int, error code. 0: success. Other values: failures. For details, see Common Return Codes.

epoll_fd

Restrictions

acl.himpi.sys_create_epoll, acl.himpi.sys_ctl_epoll, acl.himpi.sys_wait_epoll, and acl.himpi.sys_close_epoll must be used in conjunction. Use the epoll programming model to operate the input/output data of DVPP channels.

For Atlas inference products and Ascend EP, only the provided epoll APIs (for example, acl.himpi.sys_create_epoll) can be used. The epoll functions of the Linux operating system cannot be used.
Atlas A2 training products/Atlas A2 inference products: Only epoll APIs (like acl.himpi.sys_create_epoll) are available, and the epoll functions of the Linux OS are not available.
Atlas 200I/500 A2 inference products: Only epoll APIs (like acl.himpi.sys_create_epoll) are available, and the epoll functions of the Linux OS are not available.
Atlas A3 training products/Atlas A3 inference products: Only pyacl's epoll APIs (like acl.himpi.sys_create_epoll) are available, and the epoll functions of the Linux OS are not available.
The VPC function does not support this API.
