Function

  • Description: Performs the backward propagation of aclnnSelu.

  • Formula:

    Computes the derivative of the activation function:

    ∂selu(x)∂x={αex,x<01,x≥0\frac{\partial selu(x)}{\partial x}=\begin{cases} \alpha e^x,x<0 \\1,x\geq 0\end{cases}

    Computes the derivative of the error with respect to the input:

    ∂E∂x=∂E∂y∂selu(x)∂x\frac{\partial E}{\partial x}=\frac{\partial E}{\partial y}\frac{\partial selu(x)}{\partial x}

    Where yy is the output, EE is the loss function, and alphaalpha = 1.6732632423543772848170429916717.

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnSeluBackwardGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnSeluBackward" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnStatus aclnnSeluBackwardGetWorkspaceSize(
  const aclTensor* gradOutput,
  const aclTensor* result,
  aclTensor*       gradInput,
  uint64_t*        workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor**  executor)
aclnnStatus aclnnSeluBackward(
  void            *workspace,
  uint64_t         workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor   *executor,
  aclrtStream      stream)

aclnnSeluBackwardGetWorkspaceSize

    • Atlas inference products and Atlas training products: FLOAT, FLOAT16, INT32, and INT8 data types are supported.
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

    The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The input gradOutput, result, and gradInput are null pointers.
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type or data format of gradOutput, result, or gradInput is not within the supported range.
    The shapes of gradOutput, result, and gradInput are inconsistent.
    The data types of gradOutput, result, and gradInput do not meet the data type deduction rules.

aclnnSeluBackward

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
    workspace Input Address of the workspace memory applied on the Device side.
    workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied on the Device side, obtained through the first-phase API aclnnSeluBackwardGetWorkspaceSize.
    executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation flow.
    stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution.
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnSeluBackward defaults to a deterministic implementation.
