Function

  • Description: Returns the median of all elements after ignoring NaN values.

  • Example:

    >>> a = torch.tensor([1, float('nan'), 3, 2])
    >>> a.nanmedian()
    tensor(2.)

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnNanMedianGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnNanMedian" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnStatus aclnnNanMedianGetWorkspaceSize(
  const aclTensor *self,
  aclTensor       *out,
  uint64_t        *workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor  **executor)
aclnnStatus aclnnNanMedian(
  void          *workspace,
  uint64_t       workspaceSize,
  aclOpExecutor *executor,
  aclrtStream    stream)

aclnnNanMedianGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (Shape) Non-contiguous Tensor
    self (aclTensor*) Input The input tensor to be computed. - FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16, UINT8, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64 ND - √
    out (aclTensor*) Output Output tensor, which is a one-dimensional tensor with shape (1,). Must have the same data type as self. FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16, UINT8, INT8, INT16, INT32, INT64 ND (1,) √
    workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be requested on the Device side. - - - - -
    executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the operator executor, which contains the operator computation process. - - - - -
    • Atlas training products: BFLOAT16 is not supported.
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

    The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Value Error Code Description
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The passed self or out is a null pointer.
    ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data types of self and out are not within the supported range.
    The data types of self and out are different.
    The shape of out does not match the actual output shape.

aclnnNanMedian

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
    workspace Input Workspace memory address applied for on the Device side.
    workspaceSize Input Workspace size applied for on the Device side, obtained from the first-phase API aclnnNanMedianGetWorkspaceSize.
    executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation process.
    stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution.
  • Return value

    aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnNanMedian defaults to a deterministic implementation.
  • When the data type of self is not FLOAT, FLOAT16, or BFLOAT16, an excessively large tensor size may cause the operator execution to time out (aicpu error, with the error reason being [aicpu timeout]). The maximum size limits for specific types (strongly dependent on the actual remaining memory of the machine) are as follows:

    • INT64: 150000000

    • UINT8, INT8, INT16, INT32: 725000000
