Function

Performs backward propagation of the forward max pooling operation aclnnMaxPool3dWithArgmax, backfilling gradients to the coordinates of the maximum value in each window, with accumulation at identical coordinates.

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. You must first call the "aclnnMaxPool3dWithArgmaxBackwardGetWorkspaceSize" API to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that contains the operator computation process, and then call the "aclnnMaxPool3dWithArgmaxBackward" API to perform the computation.

    • Atlas A3 training products/Atlas A3 inference products, Atlas A2 training products/Atlas A2 inference products: The INT64 data type is not supported for indices. depth height width cannot exceed the maximum int32 value.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The passed self or indices is a null pointer.
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of gradOutput, self, indices, or gradInput is not within the supported range.
The data format of gradOutput, self, indices, or gradInput is not within the supported range.
The shape of gradOutput is inconsistent with that of indices, or the shape of self is inconsistent with that of gradInput.
The length of kernelSize is neither 1 nor 3.
A value in kernelSize is less than or equal to 0.
The length of stride is not 0, 1, or 3.
A value in stride is less than or equal to 0.
The length of padding is not 1 or 3.
A value in padding is less than 0 or greater than kernelSize/2.
The length of dilation is not 1 or 3.
    The platform is not supported.

aclnnMaxPool3dWithArgmaxBackward

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
workspace Input Address of the workspace memory applied on the device side.
workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied on the device side, obtained through the first-phase API aclnnMaxPool3dWithArgmaxBackwardGetWorkspaceSize.
executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation flow.
stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnMaxPool3dWithArgmaxBackward defaults to a non-deterministic implementation. Deterministic computation can be enabled through aclrtCtxSetSysParamOpt.
  • Unsupported type description:

    • DOUBLE: The instruction does not support DOUBLE.

    • Whether empty tensors are supported: empty input yields empty output is not supported.

  • Boundary value scenario description:

    • When the input is Inf, the output is Inf.

    • When the input is NaN, the output is NaN.
