Function

  • Description: Performs element-wise Hardshrink, forcing elements within the range of λ to zero.

  • Formula:

    Hardshrink(x)={x,if(x>λ)x,if(x<−λ)0,otherwiseHardshrink(x)= \begin{cases} &x, &if(x \gt \lambda) \\ &x, &if(x \lt -\lambda) \\ &0, &otherwise \\ \end{cases}

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnHardshrinkGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnHardshrink" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnHardshrinkGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (Shape) Non-contiguous Tensor
self (aclTensor*) Input The input tensor, which is the input x in the formula. Supports empty tensors. BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT ND 0-8 √
    lambd(aclScalar*) Input The input λ in the formula. - FLOAT - - -
out (aclTensor*) Output Hardshrink(x) in the formula.
    • When the input x > λ or x < -λ, the output is x; otherwise, the output is 0.
    • The shape must be consistent with self.
    • Supports empty tensors.
    BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT ND 0-8 √
workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be requested on the Device side. - - - - -
executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which contains the operator computation flow. - - - - -
    • Atlas inference products, Atlas training products: The supported data types are FLOAT16 and FLOAT.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The passed self, lambd, or out is a null pointer.
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of self, lambd, or out is not within the supported range.
The shapes of self and out are inconsistent.
The dimension of self or out is greater than 8.

aclnnHardshrink

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
workspace Input Address of the workspace memory applied on the Device side.
workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied on the Device side, obtained by the first-phase API aclnnHardshrinkGetWorkspaceSize.
executor Input The operator executor, which contains the operator computation flow.
stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnHardshrink defaults to a deterministic implementation.
