Function
Fast Gaussian Error Linear Unit activation function. FastGelu is defined as follows:
where is an element of the input.
Function Prototype
Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnFastGeluGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnFastGelu" API is called to perform the computation.

Parameters:
Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (Shape) Non-Contiguous Tensor self (aclTensor*) Input Represents the input tensor, i.e., $x_{i}$ in the formula. - The data format must be consistent with out.
- The shape must be consistent with out.
- The data type must be consistent with out.
FLOAT16, FLOAT32, BFLOAT16 ND 0-8 √ out (aclTensor*) Output Represents the output tensor, FastGelu(x_i) in the formula. - The data format must be the same as self.
- The shape must be the same as self.
- The data format must be the same as self.
FLOAT16, FLOAT32, BFLOAT16 ND 0-8 √ workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be requested on the Device side. - - - - - executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the operator executor, which contains the operator computation process. - - - - - Return value
aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.
The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:
Return Code Error Code Description ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 self or out is a null pointer. ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data types or data formats of self and out are inconsistent. The data type of self or out is not within the supported range. The shapes of self and out are inconsistent. The shape dimension of self exceeds 8.
aclnnFastGelu
Parameters:
Parameter Input/Output Description workspace Input Specifies the workspace memory address applied on the Device side. workspaceSize Input Specifies the workspace size applied on the Device side, obtained from the first-phase API aclnnFastGeluGetWorkspaceSize. executor Input Operator executor that contains the operator computation flow. stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution. Return value
aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Code.
Constraints
Deterministic computation:
- aclnnFastGelu defaults to a deterministic implementation.
