Function

  • Description: Computes the mean of a tensor along specified dimensions.

  • Formula:

1โˆฃdimโˆฃโˆ‘dimX\frac{1}{|\text{dim}|} \sum_{\text{dim}} X

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnMeanGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnMean" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnStatus aclnnMeanGetWorkspaceSize(
  const aclTensor*     self,
  const aclIntArray*   dim,

aclnnStatus aclnnMean(

  aclOpExecutor* executor,
  aclrtStream stream)

aclnnMeanGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (shape) Non-contiguous Tensor
self (aclTensor*) Input X in the formula.
    • When the input is an empty tensor, the output type cannot be the complex types COMPLEX64 and COMPLEX128.
    • The data type must be convertible to the dtype data type (see Conversion Relationship).

executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which contains the operator computation flow. - - - - -
    • Atlas inference products and Atlas training products: The BFLOAT16 data type is not supported.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Value Error Code Description
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The passed self, out, and dim are null pointers.
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of self, out, or dim is not within the supported range, or dtype specifies an unsupported data type.
The data format of self or out is not within the supported range.
A dimension in the dim array exceeds the dimension range of the input tensor.
Duplicate elements exist in the dim array.
The out shape does not match the actual shape.
The data type of self cannot be converted to the data type of dtype.
The data type of dtype cannot be converted to the data type of out.

aclnnMean

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
workspace Input Address of the workspace memory applied on the Device side.
workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied on the Device side, obtained through the first-phase API aclnnMeanGetWorkspaceSize.
executor Input Op executor that contains the operator computation flow.
stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnMean is implemented as deterministic computation by default.
