Function

Generate random numbers with discrete uniform distribution in the [from, to) interval and fill them into the selfRef tensor. (The BOOL type of this interface has been deprecated. If needed, it is recommended to use the aclnnBernoulli or aclnnInplaceBernoulli interface instead.)

Function Prototype

Each operator consists of a two-phase API. The "aclnnInplaceUniformGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnInplaceUniform" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnInplaceUniformGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (Shape) Non-Contiguous Tensor

from (double) Input Left boundary for discrete uniform distribution sampling. The value of from must be within the data type range of selfRef, and the value of from must be less than to. DOUBLE - - -
to (double) Input. Specifies the right boundary for discrete uniform distribution values. The value of to must be within the value range of the data type of selfRef. DOUBLE - - -

workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Size of the workspace to be requested on the Device side. - - - - -
executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which includes the operator computation flow. - - - - -
    • Atlas training products: The BFLOAT16 data type is not supported.
  • Return value:

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The passed selfRef is a null pointer.
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of selfRef is not within the supported range.
The shape of selfRef exceeds 8 dimensions.
    from is greater than to.

aclnnInplaceUniform

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
workspace Input Specifies the workspace memory address applied on the Device side.
workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied for on the Device side, obtained through the first-phase API aclnnInplaceUniformGetWorkspaceSize.
executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation process.
stream Input Specifies the stream on which the task is executed.
  • Return value:

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnInplaceUniform defaults to a deterministic implementation.
