Function
Fills the selfRef tensor with values sampled from a discrete uniform distribution over [from, to-1].
Function Prototype
Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnInplaceRandomGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnInplaceRandom" API is called to perform the computation.

Parameters:
Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (Shape) Non-contiguous Tensor selfRef (aclTensor*) Input/Output Input/output tensor. The empty tensor scenario is not supported. BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT32, DOUBLE, INT32, INT64, INT16, INT8, UINT8, BOOL, COMPLEX64, COMPLEX128 ND - โ from (int64_t) Input Left boundary for discrete uniform distribution sampling. The value of from must fall within the data type range of selfRef, and from must be less than to. INT64 - - - to (int64_t) Input Specifies the right boundary for discrete uniform distribution sampling. The value of to must be within the valid range of the data type of selfRef. INT64 - - - seed (int64_t) Input Seed of the random number generator, which affects the generated random number sequence. - INT64 - - - offset (int64_t) Input Specifies the offset of the random number generator, which affects the position of the generated random number sequence. After setting the offset, the generated random number sequence starts from the specified position. - INT64 - - - workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be requested on the Device side. - - - - - executor (aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which includes the operator computation process. - - - - - Atlas training products : The BFLOAT16 data type is not supported.Ascend 950PR/Ascend 950DT : COMPLEX64 and COMPLEX128 are not supported.
Return value
aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.
The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:
Return Code Error Code Description ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The passed selfRef is a null pointer. ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of selfRef is not within the supported range. "from" is greater than or equal to "to". "to" exceeds the value range of the selfRef data type.
aclnnInplaceRandom
Parameter Description:
Parameter Input/Output Description workspace Input Workspace memory address applied for on the Device side. workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied for on the Device side, obtained through the first-phase API aclnnInplaceRandomGetWorkspaceSize. executor Input Operator executor, which contains the operator computation process. stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution. Return value
aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.
Constraints
Deterministic computation:
- aclnnInplaceRandom defaults to a deterministic implementation.
