Function

  • Description: Computes the dot product of two 1D tensors.

  • Formula:

self=[x1,x2,...,xn]self = [x_{1}, x_{2}, ..., x_{n}] tensor=[y1,y2,...,yn]tensor = [y_{1}, y_{2}, ..., y_{n}] out=x1∗y1+x2∗y2+...+xn∗ynout = x_{1}*y_{1} + x_{2}*y_{2} + ... + x_{n}*y_{n}

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnDotGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnDot" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnDotGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Shape Non-contiguous Tensor
self Input The input tensor involved in the dot product computation, i.e., self in the formula. Must have the same data type as tensor and out, and the same shape as tensor. BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT, INT8, INT32, UINT8 ND 1 √
tensor Input Input tensor involved in the dot product computation, i.e., tensor in the formula. Same data type as tensor and out, and same shape as tensor. BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT, INT8, INT32, UINT8 ND 1 √
out Output Dot product result, which is the output out in the formula. Must have the same data type as tensor and out. BFLOAT16, FLOAT16, FLOAT, INT8, INT32, UINT8 ND 0 -
workspaceSize Output Returns the workspace size to be applied for on the Device side. - - - - -
executor Output Returns the operator executor, which contains the operator computation process. - - - - -
    • Atlas inference products and Atlas training products: The BFLOAT16 data type is not supported.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The self, tensor, and out parameters are null pointers.
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data types of the self, tensor, and out parameters are not within the supported range.
The data types of the self, tensor, and out parameters are inconsistent.
The data dimension of the self and tensor parameters is not 1D.
The shapes of the self and tensor parameters are inconsistent.
The data dimension of the out parameter is not 0D.

aclnnDot

  • Parameters:

    Parameter Input/Output Description
workspace Input Memory address of the workspace applied for on the Device side.
workspaceSize Input Size of the workspace applied for on the Device side, obtained through the first-phase API aclnnDotGetWorkspaceSize.
executor Input Op executor, which contains the operator computation process.
stream Input Specifies the stream for task execution.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnDot defaults to a deterministic implementation.
