Function

  • Operator function: Computes the p-norm distance between each pair of points in two vector sets.

  • Formula:

    y=∑∣x1−x2∣ppy = \sqrt[p]{\sum |x1 - x2|^p}

Function Prototype

Each operator is divided into a two-phase API. The "aclnnCdistGetWorkspaceSize" API must be called first to obtain the workspace size required for computation and the executor that encapsulates the operator computation flow. Then, the "aclnnCdist" API is called to perform the computation.

aclnnCdistGetWorkspaceSize

  • Parameters:

Parameter Input/Output Description Instruction Data Type Data Format Dimension (shape) Non-contiguous Tensor
x1 (aclTensor*) Input Represents the first input of Cdist, corresponding to x1 in the formula.
    • Supports empty tensors.
    • Except for the last two dimensions, the other dimensions of the shape must satisfy the broadcast relationship with the other dimensions of the x2 shape except for the last two dimensions.
    • The size of the last dimension of the shape must be the same as the size of the last dimension of the x2 shape.
    FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 2-8 √
x2 (aclTensor*) Input Represents the second input of Cdist, corresponding to x2 in the formula.
    • Supports empty tensors.
    • Except for the last two dimensions, the other dimensions of shape must satisfy the broadcast relationship with the other dimensions of x1 shape except for the last two dimensions.
    • The size of the last dimension of shape must be the same as the size of the last dimension of x1 shape.
The data type remains consistent with x1. ND 2-8 √
p (float) Input Represents the norm coefficient, corresponding to p in the corresponding formula.
    • Commonly used norms: 0, 1.0, 2.0, and inf.
    • Value range: [0, +Inf].
    float - - -
compute_mode (int64_t) Input Represents the computation mode. This is a reserved parameter and currently has no effect. Reserved parameter. Currently has no effect. When p is 2.0, this parameter only supports 2. int64_t - - -
out (aclTensorList*) Output Represents the output of Cdist, corresponding to y in the formula.
    • Supports empty tensors.
    • The data type is the same as that of x1 and x2.
    • If the shape of x1 is [D, P, M] and the shape of x2 is [D, R, M], the shape of out is [D, P, R], where D is the dimension after broadcasting and merging all dimensions except the last two dimensions of the inputs and output.
    FLOAT, FLOAT16, BFLOAT16 ND 2-8 √
workspaceSize (uint64_t*) Output Returns the workspace size to be requested on the Device side. - - - - -
executor(aclOpExecutor**) Output Returns the op executor, which contains the operator computation flow. - - - - -
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

The first-phase API performs input parameter validation and returns an error in the following scenarios:

    Return Code Error Code Description
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_NULLPTR 161001 The input grad, x1, x2, or cdist is a null pointer.
ACLNN_ERR_PARAM_INVALID 161002 The data type of x1, x2, or out is not within the supported range.
The data types of x1 or x2 and out are inconsistent.
The dimension of x1, x2, or out is not within the supported range.
The point feature dimension of x1 is inconsistent with that of x2.
    p is negative or NaN.

aclnnCdist

  • Parameters:

    ParameterInput/OutputDescription
workspaceInputAddress of the workspace memory applied on the Device side.
workspaceSizeInputSize of the workspace applied on the Device side, obtained through the first-phase API aclnnInplaceAddGetWorkspaceSize.
executorInputOperator executor, which contains the operator computation flow.
streamInputSpecifies the stream that executes the task.
  • Return value

aclnnStatus: return code. For details, see aclnn Return Codes.

Constraints

  • Deterministic computation:

    • aclnnCdist defaults to a deterministic implementation.
