Introduction

With the rise of edge computing, edge devices gradually become intelligent based on platforms. As a development component, the OM SDK helps third-party independent software vendor (ISVs) or developers quickly build a hardware management platform based on Ascend computing chips, simplifying O&M deployment of hardware devices and quickly building a customized device O&M system.

Function Description

The edge management system supports initial configuration, hardware monitoring, software installation, and system O&M for edge devices. In addition, it can interconnect with the SmartKit and FusionDirector for centralized O&M management.

Function

Feature Details

Hardware management

  • Queries hardware information.
    • Hardware version, model, and health status of the entire device
    • Software and hardware versions, models, and health status of modules
    • Information such as the voltage, temperature, and power consumption
  • Detects hardware faults.

Software management

  • Upgrades the OS, driver, and firmware.
    • Pre-update check
    • System hardware rollback after the upgrade
  • Queries the software information.

Queries the software version, computing power, and memory usage.

  • Deploys software in one-click mode without software commissioning.
  • Installs and upgrades the OM SDK.

Time management

  • Configures the system time zone and system time.
  • Supports time synchronization from the NTP server.

Network management

  • Supports multiple network device configurations, such as ETH, Wi-Fi, and LTE.
  • Allows users to manually configure the IP address, port number, VLAN, gateway, and DNS of the system network port.
  • Obtains the system IP address from the server over the dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP).

Storage management

  • Queries and configures local storage.

Queries system partitions, storage capacity, and partition health status.

  • Configures and queries NFS storage systems, such as NFS mounting, capacity display, and connection health status.

User management

  • Allows users to query and set the password validity period, login rules, and weak passwords, and change user passwords.
  • Allows users to customize security policies and import their root of trust (RoT).
  • Supports the import, query, and validity period check of web certificates.

System monitoring

  • Supports alarm reporting, alarm masking, historical alarm query, and current alarm display.
  • Displays and manages alarms of incremental devices and key processes.
  • Supports security logs, operation logs, run logs, black box records, log collection and query, and remote syslog.

Northbound interface

Supports the FusionDirector centralized management protocol and open RESTful APIs which meet the northbound interface standards of servers.
