FusionDirector Management Fails After the AtlasEdge Is Uninstalled and AtlasEdge 2.0.2 or Earlier Is Installed

Symptom

FusionDirector fails to be managed after the new version of AtlasEdge is uninstalled in the background and an earlier version is installed.

Possible Causes

When an earlier version of the AtlasEdge is installed, the system checks whether /home/data/config exists. If yes, the keymanager encryption material is supposed to exist and the encryption material in the installation package will not be copied to the environment. The problem occurs because the path exists but without any encryption material. As a result, the encryption material is not copied when the earlier version is installed. After the installation succeeds, no encryption material exists in the path. When keymanager is used to encrypt the FusionDirector management password, the encryption fails due to lack of encryption materials. As a result, the encryption and NMS configuration fail.

Procedure

Delete the /home/data/config directory, reinstall AtlasEdge, and manage FusionDirector again.
