Continuous upgrades will shorten the service life of drives. Therefore, avoid continuous upgrades.

Update Impacts
- Impact on services: During the upgrade, the AtlasEdge is restarted, interrupting the connection between FusionDirector and the device for about 1 to 5 minutes. As a result, FusionDirector cannot manage the device or configure services for the device.
- Impact on network communication: The connection between FusionDirector and the device will be interrupted for about 1 to 5 minutes.
- Impact on spare parts: Only the current system is upgraded. The spare parts are not upgraded. You need to upgrade them separately.
If the total resources of deployed containers before the upgrade exceed the actual available resources after the upgrade, the containers may fail to run after the upgrade. For details, see the description of --systemReservedCPUQuota and --systemReservedMemoryQuota in Table 1.

Perform the upgrade during off-peak hours to minimize the impact on the system and services. |

Running of the AtlasEdge software on the Atlas 500 Pro AI edge server (model 3000) depends on the MindXEdge user. If the MindXEdge user can be used for device login, the AtlasEdge software upgrade fails. Therefore, disable device login using the MindXEdge user. |

Do not perform other maintenance operations for the AtlasEdge during the upgrade. |

After the software is upgraded, the AtlasEdge needs to be restarted, during which the connection between FusionDirector and the device is interrupted. You can restart it immediately or later. |
