What Do I Do If a Message Is Displayed Indicating that the Network Is Disconnected or the Plugin Does Not Exist When I Install a Plugin in MindStudio IDE

Symptom

After MindStudio IDE is started, when you choose File > Settings... > Plugins from the menu bar to search for and install a plugin, the system displays a message indicating that the network is disconnected or the plugin does not exist, as shown in Figure 1 and Figure 2.

Solution

  1. After MindStudio IDE is started, choose File > Settings... > Appearance & Behavior > System Settings > HTTP Proxy from the menu bar or enter Proxy in the search box. The proxy configuration page is displayed, as shown in Figure 3.

  2. Choose Manual proxy configuration > HTTP and set the following parameters.
    • Host name: IP address of the proxy server.
    • Port number: port number of the proxy server.
  3. Select Proxy authentication and set the following parameters.
    • Login: user name on the intranet.
    • Password: password corresponding to the user name on the intranet.
  4. You can select Remember and click Check connection. The dialog box shown in Figure 4 is displayed.

  5. Enter a URL, for example, www.baidu.com, in the dialog box displayed to check whether the connection is successful, and click OK.

    If the message "Connection successful" is displayed, the proxy is configured successfully.

  6. Choose File > Settings... > Plugins from the menu bar to install the plugin, as shown in Figure 5.
