Setting Global Environment Variables

You can access the page for setting global environment variables in any of the following ways:

  • On the menu bar of the MindStudio project page, choose File > Settings... > Appearance & Behavior > System Settings > Global Environment Variables.
  • On the menu bar of the MindStudio project page, choose Ascend > Global Environment Variables.
  • Click on the shortcut toolbar of MindStudio.

Parameter/Icon

Description

Adds a global environment variable. Click this button to display the window for creating a global variable. You need to set the following parameters in the window.

  • Name: environment variable name. The value can contain a maximum of 128 characters, including letters, digits, underscores (_), and hyphens (-). This parameter is mandatory.
  • Value: value of the environment variable. This parameter is optional.

Click OK to complete the configuration of the global environment variable. Then click Cancel to exit the window for creating global variables.

Deletes a global environment variable. Select an existing global environment variable and click this button to delete it.

Modifies a global environment variable. Select an existing global environment variable and click this button. The corresponding dialog box is displayed, on which you can modify the global environment variable.
