Restrictions

  • It is not allowed to initiate two profiling tasks with the same result directory from the MindStudio installation server.
  • Dump and Profiling should not be both enabled. To enable Profiling, disable Dump.

    Reason: Dump could affect the system performance. If Dump and Profiling are both enabled, Profiling will collect inaccurate profile data. For details about how to disable data dump, set Dump Option to None. For details, see Preparing Dump Data of an Offline Model-Step 2.

  • Profiling is used to collect host data in the development or testing environment. Do not use it in the production environment. Otherwise, privilege escalation with sudo may occur.
  • Profiling cannot collect host data in the Ascend RC scenario.
  • The profile data of the current version may be incompatible with that of a historical version. Therefore, you are advised not to select the profile data report of a historical version to display.
