Adding a Project File
In the project window, right-click a project and choose from the shortcut menu or choose from the top menu bar. In the displayed submenu, select the type of the file to be created or select File, as shown in Figure 1. Then, in the displayed dialog box, enter the file name (without an extension).
- Select a file type, enter the file name, and press Enter.
- Select the option, enter the file name, and press Enter. The page for selecting a file type is displayed, as shown in Figure 2.
- If you enter a file name with an extension, the system automatically identifies the file type and displays a confirmation page. Click OK to complete the file creation.
- If the file type is not specified or not identified, you can create a file using one of the following methods. (You can also choose from the top menu bar to access the configuration page and find to customize corresponding functions.)
- Open matching files as text and auto-detect file type by content: Open the file without a name extension as a text file and identify its type based on the file content.
- Open matching files in MindStudio: Create the file in a type that matches MindStudio.
- Open matching files in associated application: Use the default system application to open the file in the current operating system.
