Uninstallation (Windows)

You can uninstall MindStudio as follows: If you want to upgrade Ascend-CANN-Toolkit, install its latest version. For details, see "CANN Manager" in the MindStudio User Guide.

1. Go to the C:\Users\Individual user directory and delete the .mindstudio folder.
2. Uninstall the MindStudio installation package.
   • If the MindStudio to be uninstalled is obtained from the MindStudio_{version}_win.zip installation-free package, delete the decompressed file. The MindStudio uninstallation does not delete data in the following directories. If necessary, delete the files in these directories.
     • C:\Users\individual_user\AppData\Local\Huawei\MindStudioMS-{version}\: MindStudio caches and historical records.
     • C:\Users\individual_user\AppData\Roaming\Huawei\MindStudioMS-{version}\: MindStudio settings and plugins.
   • If theMindStudio to be uninstalled is obtained from the MindStudio_{version}_win.exe installation package, go to the bin directory in the MindStudio installation path and double-click Uninstall.exe. In the displayed Uninstall MindStudio dialog box, select the options to be uninstalled and click Uninstall.

     Option	Description
     Delete MindStudio {Version} caches and history	Delete MindStudio caches and historical records. If you select this option, the MindStudioMS-{version} folder in C:\Users\individual_user\AppData\Local\Huawei\ will be deleted.
     Delete MindStudio {Version} settings and plugins	Delete MindStudio settings and plugins. If you select this option, the MindStudioMS-{version} folder in C:\Users\individual_user\AppData\Roaming\Huawei\ will be deleted.

   

   If the operator sample function is used, uninstalling MindStudio does not delete the development sample project synchronized from the CANN package, that is, the content in {MindStudio_installation_path}\plugins\ascend-foundation\samples\operator_demo_projects\. If you do not need the content, manually delete it.
