Downloading Software Packages

Before installing the software, obtain the required software packages and digital signature files. For details, see Table 1.

MindStudio_{version}_linux.tar.gz

MindStudio installation package, which contains a GUI-based IDE.

The decompressed MindStudio package contains the following files:

  • bin: MindStudio execution directory, storing dependent binary files
  • build.txt: build information of the installation package
  • Install-Linux-tar.txt: MindStudio installation description
  • jbr: library and file dependencies of a 64-bit OS
  • lib: Java library dependencies
  • license: licenses of third-party dependencies
  • LICENSE.txt: Apache license description
  • NOTICE.txt: considerations
  • plugins: plugin and Java library dependencies of MindStudio
  • product-info.json: file storing the MindStudio version and executable file path
  • redist: Java annotations
  • tools: tools

Obtaining Software Packages

Ascend-cann-toolkit_{version}_linux-{arch}.run

Ascend-CANN-Toolkit, including the auxiliary toolkit and APIs.

If Ascend-CANN-Toolkit has been installed in the environment, you do not need to obtain it again.

Verifying Digital Signatures of Software Packages

To prevent a software package from being maliciously tampered with during transfer or storage, download also the corresponding digital signature file for integrity verification while downloading the software package.

After the software package is downloaded, verify its PGP digital signature by referring to the OpenPGP Signature Verification Guide. If the verification fails, do not use the software package, and contact Huawei technical support engineers.

Before a software package is used in installation or update, its digital signature also needs to be verified according to the OpenPGP Signature Verification Guide to ensure that the software package is not tampered with.
