Upgrade Impacts

  • After the software package is upgraded, services are not affected.

Precautions

Note the following when upgrading the software:

  • Before the upgrade, read this document carefully to ensure that you have learned all the content. For any problems or suggestions pertaining to the document, contact technical support.
  • The software upgrade does not interrupt active training or inference services. As a best practice, schedule the upgrade during off-peak periods
  • If there are multiple devices, you can also perform the upgrade. By default, only the version pointed to by the latest soft link in the installation directory (that is, the current version) is upgraded.
  • When performing the installation or upgrade, ensure that the owners of the installation logs and installed files are the same as the user who performs the installation or upgrade. If they are inconsistent, the installation or upgrade will fail. In this case, change the owner of the installation logs, or uninstall MindCluster ToolBox and then re-install it.

Verifying the Digital Signatures of Software Packages

To prevent a software package from being maliciously tampered with during transfer or storage, download also the corresponding digital signature file for integrity verification while downloading the software package.

After the software package is downloaded from the Support website, verify its PGP digital signature by referring to the OpenPGP Signature Verification Guide. If the verification fails, do not use the software package, and contact Huawei technical support engineers.

Before using software for installation or upgrade, verify the digital signature to ensure that the software has not been tampered with.
