Upgrading Other Components
Prerequisites
- Procedures in Environment Check have been completed.
- If you need to upgrade NPU Exporter, Ascend Device Plugin, Volcano, ClusterD, Ascend Operator, and NodeD, uninstall the old ones and then install the new packages.
Procedure
- Uninstalling the MindCluster components of the old version. For details, see Step 2 in Uninstalling Other Components.
- Download the new version of the component packages referring to Obtaining Software Packages.
- (Optional) Prepare the new images of the MindCluster cluster scheduling components. If the components of the new version are installed in binary mode, skip this step.
Pull new image versions from the Ascend image repository or create new images by referring to Preparing an Image. Ensure that the tag of the new component image is different from that of the old version, to prevent the component image of the old version from being overwritten.
- Reinstall the components to be upgraded. For details, see NPU Exporter.
- (Optional) If you need to perform rollback, perform 2 and 4 in sequence to uninstall the new components and install the ones.
