Overview
MindCluster Ascend Deployer provides automatic download and one-click installation of OS dependencies and Docker, and supports online and offline download, installation, and upgrade of software packages such as drivers, firmware, CANN, MindCluster components (performance test, fault diagnosis, and cluster scheduling), AI frameworks (TensorFlow, MindSpore, or PyTorch), and MindIE image.

Key Features
Downloading Ascend Software
MindCluster Ascend Deployer allows you to download the Ascend software, Docker, and system dependencies that match the hardware and OS versions for the Ascend hardware in inference and training scenarios on Linux and Windows.
Installing Ascend Software
MindCluster Ascend Deployer provides the capability of installing the Ascend software on a single server or in batches for the Ascend hardware in inference and training scenarios. MindCluster Ascend Deployer allows for automatic deployment of multiple devices simultaneously, reducing installation and deployment time.
Upgrading Ascend Software
MindCluster Ascend Deployer provides the capability of upgrading the Ascend software on a single server or in batches for the Ascend hardware in inference and training scenarios. Currently, the following software can be upgraded: NPU driver and firmware, MCU firmware, CANN, and MindCluster components (performance test, fault diagnosis, and cluster scheduling).
Constraints and Precautions
- The OS dependencies preset in MindCluster Ascend Deployer apply only to the initial server deployment scenario (that is, only the OS is installed on the server, and no other service components are deployed).
- When you use MindCluster Ascend Deployer to perform installation or upgrade operations, core services such as containerd, Docker, and kubelet may be restarted. As a result, related container services in the environment are temporarily interrupted or abnormal. Evaluate service risks in advance.
- MindCluster Ascend Deployer does not support hot capacity expansion or hot upgrade. Before performing installation or upgrade operations, stop all related services. After the installation or upgrade is complete, resume the services.
